For between $60,000 and $90,000, a 2, 3 or 4 bedroom ranch style home that is close to town occasionally goes up for sale. Newer and more upscale homes can be found throughout the Enchanted Valley, especially along the shores of Lake Chatuge and on the mountains where the views are spectacular.

Typical condominium prices range from $250,000 for a 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom unit in a lakefront resort community with a swimming pool and tennis courts to $500,000 for a fully furnished 2-story condo in an exclusive ridges resort community with year round lake and mountain views. 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom lakefront homes on about ¼ acre of land can sometimes be found for under a million dollars. But $1,000,000 also buys a 5 bedroom, 3 bathroom home on 5 acres of land that is not near the lake with a 5,000 sq. ft. barn and a fenced-in area for training horses.

Throughout the Enchanted Valley, homes that are not near the lake or homes that do not have mountaintop views but are located within beautiful rural forested areas are often priced between $160,000 and $200,000. These properties are usually 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom homes on ½ acre to 1 acre of land. The median home cost in Young Harris was $285,000 in 2007 and homes had appreciated in value by 7.55% since 2006.
